Services

I lead on strategy. I’m hands on where I fit best.

I don’t lead with a list of services, because the thing worth doing is rarely the thing you came in asking for. But you should know what I can do, and where I bring in trusted specialists to work alongside me. Here it is, in full.

01

Strategy and brand

Where most of my value sits. Working out what to do, in what order, and why.

I lead this and do it myself.

  • Digital strategy. A clear plan built around your objectives, your customers and your budget.
  • Brand positioning and messaging. What you stand for, who it’s for, and the words that make people choose you.
  • Marketing audits. A straight read on what’s working, what isn’t and what to stop paying for.
  • Fractional marketing lead. Senior marketing thinking a few days a month, without the full time salary.
02

Websites and conversion

Websites that do a job, built mobile first, on platforms you can run yourself.

I lead this and do most of it myself.

  • Website strategy and build. From structure and copy through to launch, on WordPress or a fast static build.
  • Conversion rate optimisation. Finding where enquiries leak and fixing the journey, page by page.
  • Landing pages. Focused pages for campaigns, built to be measured.
  • Copywriting. Plain, persuasive words that sound like you.
03

Search, social and paid

Getting found by the right people, and keeping them close once they have.

I set the strategy and do much of the hands on work. On bigger accounts, I bring in specialists for deep technical SEO or large paid budgets, and I stay accountable for the results.

  • SEO and local search. Content, on page and local search, including Google Business Profile.
  • AI search visibility. How your business shows up in ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews.
  • Paid search and paid social. Google Ads and Meta campaigns set up to bring in customers, not just clicks.
  • Organic social. The strategy, content plan and creative that give people a reason to follow you.
  • Email marketing. Simple, useful email that keeps customers coming back.
04

Tools, systems and automation

The behind the scenes bits that stop good leads and good hours slipping away.

I lead this and build most of it myself.

  • Lead routing and forms. Getting every enquiry to the right person, fast. See the Filling You In project.
  • Calculators and custom tools. Useful free tools that bring in the right enquiries.
  • Automations and integrations. Connecting the tools you already use so less falls through the cracks.
  • Reporting. Dashboards that answer the questions you actually ask.
Worth knowing

What I don’t do

  • Day to day community management. Replying to comments, messages and customer questions is best done by someone inside your business. I’ll help you set it up.
  • Cheap and quick. If the brief is the lowest possible price, I’m not the right fit, and I’ll say so early.
  • Long contracts that lock you in. Retainers run month to month after the first three months.
  • Work I shouldn’t be doing. If someone else would do it better, I’ll point you to them.
Working together

How engagements work

Every piece of work is priced on what it needs, after a conversation. Here’s how it usually shapes up.

  • Strategy sprint
    Usually two to three weeks
An audit and a prioritised plan you can act on, with or without me. Fixed fee
  • Project
    Usually four to twelve weeks
A website, campaign or system, from strategy to launch. Fixed fee, paid in stages
  • Retained or fractional
    Monthly, three months to start
An agreed number of days each month, leading and doing. Monthly fee
  • Agency and interim
    As the brief needs
Client services, retention and pitch support, in your name. Day rate
Questions

Things people ask

Do you do everything yourself?

No, and nobody should claim to. I lead the strategy and I’m hands on where I add the most. When a job needs real depth, like technical SEO on a large site or a big paid media budget, I bring in specialists I trust. I stay accountable for the result and you only ever deal with me.

What size of business do you work with?

Mostly established small and medium businesses, and agencies who need senior help for a while.

Can you run our social media?

Yes, the strategy, content and paid side. What I don’t do is the day to day community management: replying to comments, messages and customer questions. That’s best done by someone inside your business, and I can help you set it up.

Do you work outside Manchester?

Yes. Most work is remote, and I’m happy to come to you when it helps.

How quickly can you start?

It depends on what’s on at the time. The first step is always a conversation, which is free.

What happens on the first call?

You tell me what’s going on. I ask a lot of questions and tell you plainly what I see, including if I’m not the right fit. No pitch deck.

Start with a conversation

Tell me what’s going on. I’ll tell you what I see.

A short message or a 30 minute call is enough. If I’m not the right person, you’ll leave knowing who is.
