Nineteen years agency side. Now I work for you directly.
I’m a digital strategist who still likes doing the work. I’ve spent my career inside agencies, from a WPP graduate scheme to running client services at SUSO Digital. Now I work independently, with a small number of businesses and agencies at a time.

I started on a graduate scheme at WPP, then spent three years at Accord Group learning every part of the job. After that came nine years at Banc, and senior roles across McCann, Wavemaker and Brainlabs, working on SEO, paid media and digital strategy.
Most recently I was Head of Client Services at SUSO Digital. I cut client churn significantly within the first nine months, consistently supported the account management team to grow accounts, and helped improve the new business conversion rate.
Along the way I noticed the same thing again and again. Good businesses spending money on the wrong thing. More marketing, when the real problem was that enquiries came in and nobody followed them up. A shiny new website with no budget left to get anyone to it.
So I went independent to work the other way round. Judgement first, then the work. I lead the strategy and do most of the work myself, which means the person who understands your business is the same person doing the job.

A few things I’ve learned
Traffic doesn’t pay the bills
Customers do. Before buying more visitors, check what happens to the ones you already have.
Order matters more than effort
Doing the right things in the wrong order is how budgets disappear. Fix the leak before you turn the tap up.
Say the awkward thing early
Clients rarely leave over one bad month. They leave when they stop believing anyone will tell them how things really are.
Sometimes nothing is broken
And the win is doing what already works a good deal better.
Tell me what’s going on. I’ll tell you what I see.
A short message or a 30 minute call is enough. If I’m not the right person, you’ll leave knowing who is.
