Privacy notice

Who I am

This website is run by Antony Simon, an independent consultant based in Manchester, UK. I’m the data controller for any personal information collected here. You can contact me at hello@antonysimon.com.

What I collect and why

  • Contact form. Your name, email, website and message, so I can reply. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, or taking steps at your request before a contract.
  • Booking a call. Calls are booked through Calendly, which collects your name and email under its own privacy policy.
  • The Ketchup Theory tool. The website address you enter is loaded in your own browser and isn’t stored or sent to me. If you ask for a screenshot instead, that web address (and nothing else) is sent to a screenshot service, Microlink or thum.io, to take the picture.

Analytics and cookies

If you agree, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how people use it: which pages are visited, how people arrive, and whether they use the free tools or get in touch. It sets cookies whose names start with _ga, which last up to two years. Google processes this data on my behalf, and the lawful basis is your consent.

If you choose “No thanks”, Google Analytics doesn’t load and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser so you aren’t asked again. You can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

No advertising or social media tracking is used on this site.

Where it’s stored

Form submissions are stored by Netlify, my website host, and in my email. I keep enquiries for up to two years unless we go on to work together, in which case I keep records for as long as I need to for accounting and legal reasons.

Sharing

I don’t sell or share your information. The only third parties involved are the service providers named above.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how I use it, by emailing me. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
